Wimmera historian Bob McIlvena 90, who has spent many years researching the largest open channel water system and river supply in the world…including the former Wimmera Mallee Channel system.

Horsham historian, Bob McIvena has undertaken extensive reseach into the history of the Wimmera Mallee's watercourses including the former Wimmera Mallee Channel system. The first instalment of this remarkable history starts in a double page spread in today 'Llifestyle' pages in today's Horsham Times. Mr McIlvena is pictured at a spillway just below the original and now defunct Dooen weir, east of Riverside, north of Horsham.
