Gun Club lines up for monthly shoot

WARRACKNABEAL Gun Club held its monthly shoot on Saturday, April 23, in fine, calm conditions, with two events on the program.

WARRACKNABEAL Gun Club held its monthly shoot on Saturday, April 23, in fine, calm conditions, with two events on the program. 

The first event was a 40 Target Double Barrel Championship. 

There were two perfect scores of 40/40 shots. Roger Lehmann and Mark Newcombe, both AA Grade shooters, shot off and, as a result, Mark won with a total of 70/70 with Roger scoring 69/70. 

A Grade was won by Bruce Dean with a score of 39/40 with runners up Russell Black and Robert Jorgensen on 38/40.

B Grade saw Nick Seipolt shoot 38/40 and Barry Erhardt came in second with 36/40.

C Grade was won by Ray Gould on 38/40 and runner up Brandon Love shot 35/40.

The second event for the day was a 20 target Single Barrel and 20 target Point Score Cash Divide. 

In AA Grade, Mark Newcombe shot 79/80 and Roger Lehmann was runner up with 68/80. 

A Grade saw Peter Mellington shoot 75/80 and runner up Colin Dunn shoot 74/80.

B Grade Nick Seipolt and Barry Erhardt both shot 72/80 to take out the grade. 

C Grade’s Ray Gould shot 70/80 and runner up Arthur Bird from Warragul shot 61/80.
