The Rainbow Lake once again proved its worth to the community as the venue for the first Twilight Fishing Competition last Friday.

Eighty-nine entrants caught over 40 fish, and many others gathered by the cooling water to relax and watch the fun.

Rainbow Lake Association president Chris "Tiny" Zadow said that the evening was the perfect example of what they had envisioned for the lake.

"It was a fantastic turn out, and it was great to see so many families and visitors enjoying themselves," Mr Zadow said.

"Congratulations to all the winners, and a huge thank you to our prize donors, and those who helped run this great event.

"This is what the lake is all about."
