On Tuesday 16th July the Rainbow Archive and Historical Society held their Annual General Meeting for 2013. This meeting saw the new committee positions appointed to members of the Archive and Historical Society.
At the meeting the Society said a heartfelt “Thank you” to Marge Wallis for 15 years of volunteer service as their Treasurer.
The Rainbow Archive and Historical Society meets on the 1st Tuesday of the month and has fortnightly working bees. All members of the public are welcome, especially those with computer skills and are tech-savvy.
The Archives always welcome photos and information from the district as it is extremely interesting and provides a wealth of knowledge for future generations.
Researcher for the Society, Dawn Petschel is at present looking for any information for a lady in Horsham, Susan Hogan, who is interested in Debutante Balls in the area. They have found 13 of the Debutantes from the Yaapeet Ball in 1949. Dawn would be interested in any information or photos from anyone who participated in any way and can be contacted on 5395 1382.
